Global Independent Advisory Index 2026

A survey-based reference to independent advisory firms.

Global Independent Advisory Index 2026

An industry survey examining independent advisory firms specialising in governance, investment, sustainability and business transformation.

The Index is a reference tool, not a ranking or endorsement.

Purpose

The independent advisory market is difficult to see in detail. Specialist firms are easy to overlook, hard to compare and harder to trust, so organisations looking for help often default to firms they already know.

The Index addresses this by profiling every firm against the same questions. Companies, investors and procurement teams can then compare like with like and identify a specialist for a specific need.

Metodology

What “independent” means here. The Index focuses on advisory firms outside the large global networks. Firms that describe themselves as part of a larger advisory group are not included. Firms are included on the basis of their own description of their organisation, so inclusion does not establish independent ownership, verification or endorsement. Ownership and organisation types differ, and each profile shows what the firm reported.

Sources. Each profile starts from public sources: the firm’s website, published reports and company registers. This is combined with survey submissions from the firms themselves. Where the evidence is unclear, nothing is estimated and the field is shown as “Not provided”.

Review and verification. Firms are invited to review, correct and complete their entry. Those that confirmed their own profile are marked “✓ Verified by the business”.

Reading the data. Headquarters and geographic reach are shown separately. Values are reproduced from the source records, including any inconsistencies. Information availability varies by firm.

The Index is compiled by the Global Advisory Alliance.

Data collection is ongoing throughout 2026. Profiles are added and updated as further information becomes available and firms review their entries. The Index survey report is scheduled for publication in Q1 2027.
